Getting inky with it!!!

Haha...I thought that title was funny;). Anywho.....yes, I am "getting inky with it"! I'm sitting here at my dining table inking up some leaves I cut out on my Cricut.

The Recollections Value Paper pack from Michaels called Spice Market is so pretty. I'm using Gathered Twigs and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks. I'm also using some of the colors from the Stampin' Up's 2009 In Colors.

Who knew those .49 sponge brushes from the craft store would make great distressing tools. Guess I'm watching for when they go on sale 20 for $1. Heehee!!!!! Okay, so this is the second post for today. I'm on a roll. "See" you all soon!

Thanksgiving Crafting

I am totally in love with my Martha Stewart Crafts party crafting template! I used it to make this wonderful mobile for the corner of my dining room. So easy, yet, so beautiful!
I wanted something more than just the white of the back of the cardstock so I had to improvise. I used the Tim Holtz Distress Inks to ink up the backsides which gave me a very pretty "double-sided" cardstock. I also tried to use the Tsukineko stain in Eucalyptus. It turned out very nice and muted but it took a bit to dry. Not a good solution if you're inpatient like me. I used fishing line to tie them together with a bead between each of them. I got a grapevine wreath to hang each strand from. Paper raffia was used to hang the whole mobile. I hope you like it as much as I do. Look for my Christmas soon after Thanksgiving. Happy Crafting!!!
