Some notebooks

Here are some pics of the little notebooks I donated for a fundraiser.

I love this saying on this notebook...

I learned that Zip Dry by Beacon is a great glue for paper. Thank you Marie for introducing me to this wonderful glue;)

Zentangle me this!

I am so excited that a finally sat down and did a Zentangle. I saw a book at work about it and decided to Google it. So many inspiring people out there. I'm looking forward to making more Zentangles and finding ways to incorporate it into my crafts.

Happy crafting:)

Crafting 'til the last minute.

So...we know I'm on vacation right now but as you all know, I can't stop crafting. Yes, even on vacation. Crazy I know, but, here at my in-laws the girls do a lot of playing outside with Grammy. So that leaves me some time to do a wee bit of crafting. Let's start with the night before we drove to Idaho. I'm starting to dabble in photo transfer and am trying to find a good medium to transfer with. Here are the results:

Then I decided that I wanted to alter the cover of my SMASH book. Here is the before:

....and the not yet completed:

I say "not yet completed" because I'm sure that I want to alter it more as I go along. I'll share pictures of same of my pages in future posts. SMASHing is so fun. I have found many things to include. I'll leave you for now but I'll return with more projects to share. Until then, I hope you have a great crafty day!
Smiles,
Tara

Artistic Jason

Before we left for our trip to Idaho I was able to get Jason inspired to do some artwork of his own. He's enjoying being able to explore different types of media to express his creativeness. Here he is creating a piece with beer bottle caps.

Here is just a picture of the bottles caps we've collected.

Hopefully when he gets back home he'll be able to finish it. After all, we won't be there to distract him;) Although I'm on vacation, the crafting bug hasn't gone away. My in-laws gave me stamps, a few stamp pads, and some patterned paper for my birthday. Of course that calls for at least some card making;) we've even made some polymer clay figurines. I'll post pictures of those in a later post. Well, thats it for now. Back to the vacay.

Michaels News

Hi there everyone!

So many great things are happening at the Michaels in Marina and I am so excited to share it with you. First of all there are three new classes coming out this month for Paper Crafting. Sketched Out, Texture WOW, and Card Tricks.

In Sketched Out you will learn how to create a scrapbook page using a sketch. You will also learn how to apply element from the sketch to make another scrapbook page and 2 cards.

Texture WOW! is for the crafter who is not afraid to get dirty. You'll learn to apply 8 techniques to create texture while creating a unique piece of display art.

In Card Tricks you'll learn to apply 4 stamping techniques using 1 stamp set and create 5 unique cards using heat embossing.

The registration fee for these classes are $25 each. Each class is 2 hours long. The dates for these classes are still being determined. Although these classes can be categorized as scrapbooking (Sketched Out), mixed media (Texture WOW!), and card making (Card Tricks), each class will offer techniques that can be used across the board no matter what your primary craft may be. I hope to see you in these classes this month.

Happy Crafting,
Tara
