I've been working on the cards for the Card Tricks class and I'e finished two of them. Here they are:

You'd add an appropriate message stamp on the second card. I'm gonna be looking at getting the "Hello Friend" stamp set. There will be three more cards made for the class. I can't wait to finish the whole set. Talk to you soon....happy crafting and have a great day.

Michaels News

Hi there everyone!

So many great things are happening at the Michaels in Marina and I am so excited to share it with you. First of all there are three new classes coming out this month for Paper Crafting. Sketched Out, Texture WOW, and Card Tricks.

In Sketched Out you will learn how to create a scrapbook page using a sketch. You will also learn how to apply element from the sketch to make another scrapbook page and 2 cards.

Texture WOW! is for the crafter who is not afraid to get dirty. You'll learn to apply 8 techniques to create texture while creating a unique piece of display art.

In Card Tricks you'll learn to apply 4 stamping techniques using 1 stamp set and create 5 unique cards using heat embossing.

The registration fee for these classes are $25 each. Each class is 2 hours long. The dates for these classes are still being determined. Although these classes can be categorized as scrapbooking (Sketched Out), mixed media (Texture WOW!), and card making (Card Tricks), each class will offer techniques that can be used across the board no matter what your primary craft may be. I hope to see you in these classes this month.

Happy Crafting,
Tara

Writing on...

I learned a fun new thing from watching Scrapbook Memories TV. Okay, I learn a lot from that show. I tried one of the techniques from one of the guest on the show, Julie Fei-Fan Balzer. I think it came out pretty cool. Stepping out of my comfort zone a bit but it felt good to try something new. This pic will be going in my mini album.

Let me know if you have a "box" and how you stepped out of it;)

Right now!

Here is a picture right now. Currently I'm working on a mini album of the girls getting their Valentines in the mail. I'm excited to use my YourStory to bind the album. In between that I have been cutting and adhering letters for a sign at work. Tons of projects to do and so little time.

Have a great day and happy crafting.

Haleys creation

I absolutely love that Haley has a creative streak like I do. Check out this monster she freeformed in the likeness of a SoSoHappy monster. She's getting pretty good at creating her own "patterns". I'm so proud of my little mini me;)

Spring?....cleaning?

I know it's not quite Spring yet but the cleaning bug has hit me. It feels great to be decluttering my home. The upkeep just gets easier. Now just to get the dear hubby and children to follow suit. The FlyLady says that will come soon after as they see me repeatedly keeping things/areas clean and uncluttered. **crossing my fingers** ;). My focus today is my craft room. First of all, it needs to be decluttered badly! The creativity is at a new low. Hopefully this won't last much longer. The driving force for getting my room in order is to make room for a new toy! I finally took the dive and got a Cricut Expression! Yippee!!! I can't wait to get it into it's new home and start playing with it. I'll post pics of the revamped craft room and my new toy when it's all done. I'm so excited to share with you. Until I emerge from the rubble, I hope you have a great crafting day.
